Whitney began her career working in the healthcare sector of Burson-Marsteller Public Relations & Communications Firm, and later worked as the Public Relations Manager for NV Media, Inc., providing PR and digital marketing services for clients including celebrities, authors and relationship experts. Whitney lives in Colorado with her husband Ross, their son Tucker, their daughter Layla Ruth, and their dog Rey.
Whitney + Greer (A Silver Lining’s Founder + Managing Director) met at Vanderbilt University (Go VU!) in 2004 and have been friends ever since (fun fact: they are not related, even though they now share the same last name – and believed they could pass as sisters all throughout college). Both interested in marketing + public relations during college, they lived and worked together in New York City while completing summer internships at Time, Inc.
Whitney then went on to work as a Client Executive at Burson-Marstseller (now BCW Global), Public Relations Manager at NV Media, Inc., Senior Editor and Social Media Manager for Cupid’s Pulse and Freelance Writer + Editor for McKesson and Children’s Healthcare of America. As our Content & Creative Director, Whitney excels at research, writing and editing on a range of topics, writing press releases and pitching the media, completing interviews, developing PR plans, and more. She is a creative, detailed and passionate writer and is able to communicate a brand’s voice and messaging through her words.
