Last year, we connected with Angela Cusack, founder of Igniting Success, and immediately felt inspired by her calm energy and clear passion for her clients’ positive results. Over time, Angela’s work had grown and evolved, but her existing brand and digital presence didn’t fully capture everything Igniting Success had become.
Early discussions centered on a website redesign and brand refresh. But just as Angela’s work continued to evolve, so did ours. What started as a website project became a much broader exploration of how Igniting Success should look, sound, feel, and show up across every audience touchpoint. Along the way, our role evolved too, growing into a true creative partnership that extended far beyond the original scope.
Building a Visual Identity That Felt Like Angela
The project began with refreshing the visual identity of Igniting Success, but it was so much more than simply choosing new colors and fonts. We wanted to create a brand that felt as layered, thoughtful, and dynamic as Angela’s work.
A rich, jewel-tone color palette brought warmth and energy without feeling overly playful, while a refreshed font stack added sophistication without pushing the brand into a traditional corporate aesthetic. Together, these elements created a visual system with depth, curiosity, and just enough unexpectedness to feel distinctly Angela.
Flexibility was equally important. Angela’s work spans coaching, writing, speaking, events, and thought leadership, so the brand needed to move easily between different formats and audiences while still feeling cohesive. The resulting system gave us room to create, whether we were designing a website, a business card, a social media graphic, or a piece of event collateral.
Angela was deeply involved every step of the way, which made the process especially fun for our team. She came to the table with ideas, impactful feedback, and a genuine willingness to explore. Rather than developing a brand behind the scenes and simply presenting it to her, we built it together. That collaboration allowed us to push ideas further and ultimately create an identity that feels much more personal and much more reflective of where Angela and Igniting Success are today.
Custom Illustrations and New Photography as Part of the Brand Evolution
One of the most distinctive pieces of the new identity was the incorporation of custom illustrations from local artist Kara McKean. Rather than relying entirely on stock imagery or traditional design elements, we wanted to introduce something personal and original. Kara’s artwork added creativity and character to the brand, helping Angela stand out in a way that feels authentic to her.
Once the visual direction was established, we worked closely with Abby Liga to build an image library for Igniting Success. The goal wasn’t simply to get new headshots. We intentionally thought about how photography could support the entire brand moving forward. From portraits of Angela to lifestyle imagery and flat lays, we wanted her new photography to provide visuals for her website, social media, Substack, speaking engagements, promotional materials, and other future content needs. Ultimately, photography was coordinated with the new brand colors and overall visual direction so everything would feel connected once it came together.
The lesson here? Photography shouldn’t be an afterthought in a brand or website project. Instead of scheduling a shoot and figuring out where to use the photos later, we thought about the actual marketing applications in advance. As you explore the new Igniting Success website, you’ll see wardrobe choices that complement her jewel-tone palette as well as flat lays that enhance her content.

Designing and Launching the Website
The website build stretched over many months — and that was intentional. Rather than rushing toward a launch date, we took the time to rethink what the website needed to do for Angela’s business now. Conversations went well beyond visual design, touching everything from site architecture and navigation to messaging, user experience, calls to action, SEO, and how Angela’s different areas of work could live together in a way that felt cohesive and easy to explore.
The site wasn’t simply getting a facelift. We were reconsidering the entire journey: how someone discovers Angela, understands her work, explores her ideas, and decides where to go next.
Because the strategy, messaging, photography, brand identity, and website were all evolving together, we gave each piece room to inform the others. Sometimes, the best website projects take time, especially when the goal isn’t just to build something new, but to build something that better reflects where a business is headed.
That same thinking carried into the launch. After investing so much intention into the website, we didn’t want to publish it and rely on a single “new website is live” announcement. Instead, we developed a five-week launch campaign designed to introduce the evolution gradually and bring Angela’s existing audience along with her.
Through social content, video, and storytelling, Angela was able to share the thinking behind the new brand and website in her own voice. We highlighted different areas of the site, talked about how her work had evolved, introduced new resources and pathways for engaging with her ideas, and launched her new Substack — Before the Results -– as another way for her audience to stay connected. The result was a launch that felt less like unveiling something completely different overnight and more like inviting people into the next chapter of a brand they already knew.
The Final Piece: Evolving the Igniting Success Logo
Interestingly, the logo refresh came toward the end of the process. By then, we had spent months living inside the evolution of Igniting Success. We knew its colors, typography, photography, illustrations, messaging, and overall personality. Against that backdrop, it became clear that the logo needed a refresh too.
The updated logo is cleaner and more modern while still maintaining continuity with the Igniting Success identity. The single “i” now subtly leans forward, indicating a focus on what’s next and the importance of curiosity and engagement when it comes to growth.
The Launch Was the Beginning, Not the Finish Line
The website may be live, but our partnership with Angela and Igniting Success continues. Ongoing work includes website management and search engine optimization, social media management, Substack support and strategy, and helping new marketing opportunities remain connected to the larger brand.
The best brand evolutions aren’t designed for one launch day. They’re designed to give a business somewhere to go next. Igniting Success now has a visual identity, website, photography library, content platform, and marketing foundation that can continue evolving alongside Angela’s work.
For our team, that’s one of the most rewarding parts of a project like this: not simply creating something new, but building something our client can continue growing into.
