As we officially cross the halfway point of the year, there’s no better time to pause, reflect on, and celebrate how far you’ve come. While January often gets all the attention for goal-setting and fresh starts, June offers something equally valuable: perspective.

It’s a chance to look back on the wins you’ve already achieved, reassess the goals that still matter, and identify the moments worth toasting along the way. And in our case, it’s also a fitting theme for the month as we celebrate our founder Greer’s birthday!

When we think about celebration, it’s easy to focus on the big milestones: a company anniversary, a major launch, a dream client, or a record-breaking month. But some of the most meaningful moments happen in the quiet in-between. A thoughtful client email that reminds you why you do this work. A project that finally comes together after months of planning and revisions. An extra hour of peace before the kids wake up. A difficult conversation handled well. A boundary honored. A goal you once thought was out of reach.

For today’s What We…: Celebrate Edition, let’s explore what we wear to celebrate, what we bring to the party, and what we’re celebrating as a team.

What We Wear to Celebrate

Is it really a celebration if you don’t have a new outfit to wear? We don’t make the rules. Whether we’re heading to a birthday dinner, a summer wedding, a girls’ night out, or simply celebrating a hard-earned win, getting dressed for the occasion is part of the fun. Here are the pieces we reach for when it’s time to celebrate: textured sets, white dresses, statement accessories, comfortable heels, and a few confidence-boosting favorites that help us feel our best, no matter what’s on the calendar.

What We Bring to the Party

Let’s be honest: Showing up empty-handed just isn’t our style. From hostess gifts and crowd-pleasing treats to thoughtful finds we’d happily share with friends, these are the items we love bringing along when there’s something worth celebrating.

  • You can’t go wrong with a favorite bottle of wine. During the hot summer months, we’re always reaching for a New Zealand sauvignon blanc or some bubbly. Add a colorful ribbon and personalized tag for a special touch.
  • We’re big fans of Shea McGee, and her new cookbook, Around the Table: Tables and Traditions for Gathering, is the perfect gift for every hostess.
  • If you want to think outside of the box, why not mix up a signature cocktail and bring it along? We love this recipe for Blood Orange Sangria. Better yet, you can easily adapt the recipe based on the party size.
  • Unless you’re new around here, you know the Carlisle & Co. team loves a boogie candle. Some of our must-have scents are the Old Fashioned candle from Ranger Station and the Blue Skies candle from Hotel Lobby. With notes of champagne and a secret Studio 54 accord, the second one is truly the perfect option for any celebration.
  • If there’s one thing we know won’t come home as leftovers, it’s a charcuterie board. Filled with cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit, and a few sweet treats, it’s our go-to contribution for bringing people together.

What We’re Celebrating As a Team

This blog post wouldn’t be complete without including some of the professional and personal wins from our team. Let’s toast!

  • Earlier this year, we helped one of our clients unveil a brand refresh. From a new color palette and font stack to updated messaging and values, we coordinated their social media, blog announcement, and press release to align with the release of their website.
  • We’ve completed so many website builds and refreshes lately. It’s been so exciting to bring our clients’ visions to life and push the boundaries of our creativity as we design optimized sites. If you’re curious about the difference between a new build and a refresh, check out this recent blog post!
  • We shared some recent social media wins in this post, including a client who reached 75,000 views in 90 days and another one who increased their follower count by 65% in just two months.
  • Greer is celebrating the start of summer, slower but meaningful work hours, extra activities with Lane & Merritt, and her 40th birthday later this month!
  • Cassie and Whit both purchased new homes this spring, balancing the excitement (and chaos!) of moving while continuing to support clients, launch projects, and keep business moving forward.
  • In addition to her move, Cassie is celebrating sunshine, beach days, and lots of family time this summer.
  • Emma is celebrating two years of marriage, one year in a home she adores, and a calmer rhythm after a very full spring! She’s also soaking in the rainy work-from-home afternoons in Florida right now.
  • Juliet is also celebrating a move! She loves her new apartment and especially enjoys being in a cute neighborhood where she can go on lovely morning walks.
  • Ashley is celebrating newlywed life, her first summer as not only a toddler mom (it’s crazy!) but as a working mom, and getting back into a gym routine that’s making her feel strong and confident again.

We hope this post inspires you to celebrate the goodness in your life.

As a team of marketers and work-from-home moms, we know that summer can be a beautiful but complicated time. Schedules shift with kids home and vacations planned. Work doesn’t stop, but the balancing act becomes even more pronounced. In seasons like this one, celebration is often the first thing to fall off the list.

We’re here with a gentle reminder: Don’t wait for the next major milestone to celebrate your progress. The small wins deserve recognition, too. In fact, they’re often the moments that sustain us between the bigger achievements.
