We’re excited to share a new series on our blog with our favorite finds from each month! From podcasts, television shows, and movies to our go-to beauty products, work from home attire, and more, there’s no gatekeeping here.
Keep reading for our seven favorite finds for October.
1. The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast
This listen — with new episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — is a perennial favorite for our team. Lauryn Everts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick, the entrepreneurial (and married) duo behind Dear Media and The Skinny Confidential, have been interviewing expert leaders, doctors, celebrities, athletes, authors, and more for nearly a decade. Their unfiltered conversations provide listeners with actionable advice to improve their lives.
2. Zara Trench Coat
If you’re anything like us, then you’re ready to lean into all things fall fashion. This long-belted trench coat is surprisingly luxe given the affordable price point. With a lapel collar, long sleeves, front welt pockets, and button tab cuffs, it’s the perfect layering piece to enhance your wardrobe.
3. Chat GPT and Grammarly
On a professional note, we’ve been loving the use of Chat GPT and Grammarly to send those tough client emails that you find yourself avoiding (no shame — we’ve all been there!). To start, paste the email you’re replying to or a general overview of the topic into Chat GPT. Add something like, “Write a nice but professional email back, making sure to hit on these items: X, Y, and Z.” You can also brain dump your thoughts and ask the site to write them back in a professional tone. Finally, share with Grammarly to catch any mistakes or typos. Super helpful!
4. Nobody Wants This on Netflix
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, chances are, you’ve heard the hype surrounding Nobody Wants This, the most binge-worthy show on the block. Created by media darlings Erin and Sara Foster, it’s loosely based on Erin’s own romantic life. In the show, Joanne, an agnostic sex podcaster (played by Kristen Bell), falls for unconventional Jewish rabbi Noah (played by Adam Brody). As if the writing and storyline aren’t perfect enough, the chemistry between the two leads is just what our Millennial hearts never knew they needed.
5. Microneedling
If you’re looking for something new to refresh your skin as the holidays approach, look no further. Microneedling is a popular cosmetic procedure that involves a dermatologist or aesthetician using a device with tiny needles to puncture the skin and promote healing and collagen production. It’s minimally invasive and requires minimal downtime with lasting effects. For more details and a day-to-day play-by-play, check out this article from Byrdie!
6. Holiday Card Concierge Service
Can you believe there are only 10 weeks until Christmas? If holiday cards stress you out, know that you’re not alone! This year, Carlisle & Co. is excited to provide a new offering to our clients: a Holiday Card Concierge Service. Whether you’re sending cards to your colleagues and clients or personal family and friends, let us help you through the arduous process. We’ll start with a quick 15-minute call to learn more about your preferences and vibe. Then, we’ll create three templates for you to review. Once you pick a favorite, we’ll complete one to two rounds of edits to get it just right. To learn more about this offering, click here! Please note that, in order to get your cards sent out on time, we’re only taking orders through the end of November.
7. Margaux The Demi Flats
Trying to find the perfect transitional shoe? Look no further than these adorable ballet flats from Margaux. For a seasonless color, opt for silver. They’ll pair well with much of your fall and winter wardrobe and even carry you into the spring and summer months! They fit true to size with no breaking-in time required. Plus, if needed, you can customize the fit thanks to the adjustable cord bow.
To close our first favorite finds blog post, we’d be remiss not to mention the devastating damage of both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.
